Sunday Funday in Quarantine

Yesterday at 4 pm, Guatemala tightened their quarantine rules even further, instituting a stricter eight-day curfew. Infections are on the rise in Guatemala.

We are trying to keep some normalcy for our kids, as many of you are. We are spending a couple hours in the morning doing “school” and then lots and lots of soccer and playing outside.

Our amazing staff is stepping up to fill the gaps left by the quarantine. We have social workers taking shifts in the kitchen, our directors are pitching in at the school, teaching. The clinic staff are continually doing checkups at each house. All hands are on deck!

We are already feeling the pinch in decreased giving this month. As of today, down by 20%, due in-part to our inability to host teams. We know that these are difficult times for everyone. To those who have already given, thank you so much. We cannot do what we do without you! If you are able to help support us through these uncertain days, please go to https://www.foce.org/#donate

In the meantime, here is today’s glimpse into what is going on within our walls this Sunday.
