A Visitor's Sunday Without Any Visitors

Did you know that the majority of our children are not orphans? Most of the children in our care have come out of situations of abuse, poverty, or neglect, but they do still have biological families. And on the first Sunday of the month, these families have an opportunity to visit the children in our care.

The day starts with education for our families, parenting classes provided by Casa Bernabe and a prerequsite to being able to visit with your children. Then church and an opportunity to worship together and learn from the Word of God. And then finally, an opportunity to spend a few precious hours together to tide them over until next month’s visit.

Today, this isn't going to be possible and it is causing a lot of anxiety and fear for our kiddos. Many of them are struggling, mourning the loss of their monthly visit and dealing with the worry of not knowing if their biological families are safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Would you join us in praying for our children and their biological families?

We have also begun a new tradition on Sunday mornings, a half day fast, if you would like to join us in this. These days are laced with uncertainty and we are so grateful for our greater, global, Casa Bernabe community.
