Casa Samuel
To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one house sponsor ($2,000) and twelve child and family sponsors ($120 each). Casa Samuel’s House Sponsors are John and Evonne Griffin. To see how close Casa Samuel is to reaching full funding from child and family sponsors, check the progress bar below.
Situated at the top of the hill is Casa Samuel. Rony and Yesenia have been house parents for 9 years, Yesenia teaching in the school before she became a house mom. In addition to their two daughters, Rony and Yesenia parent 10 boys. Sometimes referred to as the “cool” house, with many of the older teenage boys living here, this house loves playing soccer and basketball. That said, they can also be found enjoying a quiet evening working on a puzzle. As major sports fans, they closely follow March Madness, and other widespread sports events. Despite their “cool” exterior, these boys are very sweet and loving, and care for one another so well.
As most of the house dads do, Rony also helps drive children to doctors appointments or court dates, and picks up donations. House mom, Yesenia shared this with us. “Casa Bernabé, for me, has been a very important place where I have been able to serve and learn a lot. It is an incomparable place where God restores lives, not only of children, but also of adults. I have many years of service and still feel the same passion as if it were the first day. In all this time God has been faithful.”
