Casa Hosanna
To be fully funded monthly, each of our houses needs one house sponsor ($2,000) and twelve child and family sponsors ($120 each). Casa Hosanna’s House Sponsor is FMG Concrete Cutting, Inc. To see how close Casa Hosanna is to reaching full funding from child and family sponsors, check the progress bar below.
Casa Hosanna’s house parents, Wilmer and Fernanda, have previously served for several years in Casa David and have now returned to Casa Bernabé to serve in Casa Hosanna. Wilmer is jokingly referred to as the “prodigal son,” for coming back and serving. Together they have two daughters, who share their parents with a group of up to 10 girls from ages 5 to 18. They also brought with them their two dogs, which have brought so much joy to the house.
Over half the girls in this house have special needs, so Wilmer and Fernanda love thinking of creative ways to keep them stimulated and busy. With Wilmer being our new soccer coach, you will often find the girls playing soccer. Fernanda also plays on our women’s team, and loves cheering the girls on.
For this house, structure and cleanliness is imperative, and chores are a part of their daily routine as well. They take pride in their abilities to make their beds and keep their rooms organized. The girls love dressing up, playing with dolls, dance parties, arts and crafts and volleyball. Wilmer proudly cares for his garden, and the girls love helping him water the plants. On hot days, the girls can typically be found outside playing in the sprinkler, or having a picnic. Something surprising about this house is that they also love action movies, and always look forward to movie nights with popcorn!
