PROVIDING HOPE AND HEALING FOR VULNERABLE CHILDREN IN GUATEMALA

Changing the world, one heart at a time.

Hidden on the side of a mountain, outside Guatemala City, Casa Bernabé (House of Comfort) is home to over 100 children who have been placed in our care due to abandonment, abuse, or neglect. These children, the ones who came before them, and the ones yet to come, are our cause. Over the last 40 years, our ministry has grown to include a school, a clinic, and numerous launch and outreach programs for our children who are aging out of our care and the biological families of our children.

IMPACT Report

Dedicated to change.

Since it began in 1984, our children’s home has been a place of safety and refuge for the children placed in our care. Within each of our nine family units, children have the security of three daily meals, a warm, safe bed at night and the continuing care of loving adults. They get to experience, often for the very first time, what it means to live in a family. They are given the gift of an education, a vocation, and ultimately, the love of Christ and hope of a life beyond the walls of our children’s home. The ministry has grown to include a school, medical clinic, vocational training, and post-placement care and support for the children.
